Announcement
521handmade was created in 2014 when I started making handmade pillows in my tiny studio apartment, using the kitchen counter as my workspace. I have a Bachelors Degree in Apparel & Textiles, but was too afraid to take a sewing class during college. I taught myself how to sew by watching YouTube videos during a freezing North Dakota winter and instantly fell in love with product design. I created a bunch of "last name + est.2014" pillows for all my friends who were getting married that year and orders just kept coming in! After that, I happily became "the pillow lady."
Today, I still design and create every pillow in my home studio; often with my two little boys keeping me company. Running 521handmade has been such a blessing to my family and every order is so greatly appreciated. I genuinely love helping you bring a bit of happiness into your home with our handmade pillows! Follow my instagram @521handmade to get to know me!
521handmade pillows are now sold in over 800 boutiques nationwide and every product is high quality, timeless, and made with love by me. I've also added pretty tote bags and funny kitchen towels to our brand. I can't wait to work with you and bring some handmade love to your home.
If you are a boutique owner, I'd love to partner with you! Please email melissa [!at] 521handmade.com to shop wholesale.

What if my tracking number says my package is delivered, but it isn't in my mailbox?
The best thing to do is take your tracking number to your local post office and see what they know. Unfortunately, if it was stolen there is nothing I can do. Talk to your local post office or your mail person and see if they might be able to confirm where it was delivered. It may have been delivered to the wrong address.
What if my package arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all (missing?)
Please know that I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Once you have received the tracking number and the order has shipped any lost, damage or stolen packages will need to be handled with the USPS by the buyer. Your tracking number and order confirmation email should be all you need to fill out the claim.

Should your package get shipped back to me due to an incorrect address, I will notify you that I have received it. If you wish to have it re-shipped you will need to pay the shipping. If you just want a refund, I will refund your money minus the initial shipping costs.
