Have you ever put on a garment and as you pulled the zipper closed you felt the fabric contour to you so perfectly and think to yourself this fits me like a glove. That's the moment I experienced when the idea for Elephant Summer began. The first time I had dresses custom made to my exact measurements I swore I would never own a dress or a skirt that didn't fit me the same way. I had never worked a sewing machine in my life and didn't have the slightest clue about fabrics and patterns but I was determined to attempt to design my own wardrobe.
With persistence not only did I design patterns for myself I began to create items for my family. Ties and pocket squares for my husband and son, skirts and hair accessories for my daughter. In time I expanded my shop to include all members of any family including our little ones and fur babies.
Elephant Summer's shop specializes in custom made skirts that fit to your exact measurements as well as giving each customer the experience of requesting prints specifically to their personal style and coordinating their items.
