Announcement
The filigree technique, "The way of modelling the wire" as Benvenuto Cellini described it in his treaty about the goldsmith's art, was used for the first time in the III millenium b.c. in the Middle Eastern Countries.
Later on, in the late Roman period and in the Middle Age, it spread in Sicily, in Venice, in Genoa and finally al over Europe. The Filigree technique perfectly matched with the baroque art and it flourished again in the XIX century and at the beginning of the XX century.

4 out of 5 starsPendant is very beautiful! My mother loved it. Thank you. Only issue is the jump ring on the pendant is too small for any chain to fit through. I have to take it to a jeweller now to replace the jump ring.

5 out of 5 starsBeautiful necklace. This sellers attention to detail is hard to match. The detail of the edelweiss flower was so good I had to purchase another piece. Thank you. Bellissima collana. L'attenzione ai dettagli di questo venditore è difficile da eguagliare. Il dettaglio del fiore della stella alpina era così bello che ho dovuto acquistarne un altro. Grazie.
