★★ TAXIDERMY BAT DISCLAIMER ★★
I AM A LICENSED IMPORTER. ALL OF MY BATS ARE 100% LEGAL TO OWN. NONE OF THE SPECIES IN MY DISPLAYS ARE ENDANGERED, NOR THREATENED. TO LEARN MORE, PLEASE KEEP READING BELOW.
Where do my bats come from? The majority of my bats are fruit bats that are indigenous to Indonesia. Unfortunately fruit bats can inflict serious damage on fruit crops. They are so numerous and considered huge pests to fruit farmers, so the farmers set up nets around the trees to keep them out. The bats that die in the nets are collected by people who preserve them to sell as taxidermy specimens for income, which I in turn repurpose into a beautiful pieces of art for you. In other parts, collectors go to roosting areas like cave entrances and collect the deceased animals.
All of my bats are ethically sourced and legal to own. All of my bat specimens are inspected by USFWS. No bats are harmed for the purpose of my artwork.
