Great pattern, was easy to follow with helpful pictures. Only issue I had was I accidentally started creating the 2nd layer of 'scales' directly below the first but that was entirely my own fault and I realised quickly just by checking against the images without even needing to ask for help, so very good instructions. Also was made for a bird-lover who absolutely adored them and shows them off to everyone.

These turned out pretty cute! It’s definitely not a beginner friendly pattern- a you tube search for crocodile stitch is helpful for sure. I also couldn’t find the same yarn so my scales weren’t as long as hers. Overall though, this is a winner and I hope the recipient of them loves them too (it’s a gift). 4 stars because the thumb hole is way too small with the chain 3 directions. I have small hands and I had to double it to 6 chains to make it not cut off circulation.
