This quilt is done entirely by hand using the Redwork technique on silk. Redwork is a type of hand embroidery. Both red and white silks were purchased on a trip to the silk road in China. All 12 hearts are unique in nature with a different floral within. Each heart is bordered by a flying geese pattern that creates a star on every other corner. The flying geese border uses a mix of silk and red and white cotton toile patterns. The final border is scalloped to follow along with the delicate floral nature of the quilt.

The quilt measures 95 cm (37.5") across and 118 cm (46.5") long. There is a sleeve on the back for hanging. It will make a special gift or be a treasure for a collector.
