DESCRIPTION:
This is a PDF file for a digital pattern to crochet a fun mermaid blanket for cuddling on the couch or even on your bed. What is really special about this pattern is that you can stick your feet in the fin (that part of the blanket is a pocket for the feet) and then it opens up to a blanket on top, which you can wrap around your legs. Make it just long enough to cover your legs if you want a lapghan, or you can make it longer if you want the blanket to reach all the way up to your neck. SIZES:
This pattern includes specific directions for toddler, child, and adult. The sizes are very broad as it is a blanket and not clothing. NEW BONUS SIZE ADDED! Now includes instructions for 18" doll sized tail.

Intermediate. Must be able to follow a written crochet pattern.

TERMINOLOGY:
This pattern is written in STANDARD U.S. CROCHET TERMS and in English only.

MATERIALS NEEDED:
(2 strands of #4 worsted weight yarn will be held together for the entire pattern)

Approximate total yarn amounts needed:
Toddler: 1100 yards
Child: 1700 yards
Adult: 2000 yards.

If using two colors, divide each total amount by 2 to get the required amount for each color.
To make the tail fin in a different color, you need at least 500-600 yards of that color.

Crochet Hook Size: "N" (9 mm) crochet hook (different brands vary, match the "mm" size, not letter)
Notions: stitch marker, yarn needle, measuring tape
