4 out of 5 starsThe basket is gorgeous and looks good anywhere but I think the pillow is a little small for it, hence the one star off :) But I put an extra little blanket in it to compensate which works just fine.

Animal Friendly
In all aspects of creating & running a business, we try not to harm animals and limit our environmental impact. That's why we use vegan leather and offer vegan alternatives to wool. We use yarn from parts of the world where mulesing practices are not suspected- a notorious act of sheep cruelty. Our dyed merino comes from organic German family farms, the undyed wool from bigger area's of Scotland and Germany. As the latter is a blend, and we are small industry players, we cannot be sure if every sheep is treated kindly. On the other hand, European wool, since it is not as soft as Australian, and produced in much lesser quantities, is nowadays often thrown away and burned. Making beauty out of it, seems a respectful & sustainable answer!
Which bed is best for my pet?
Comme des Moutons offers a range of knitted and woven pet beds, for happy pets and people of all sorts. The classic natural wool and merino pet beds are loved by many cats and dogs. They are very soft, heat regulating, eco-friendly, the natural wool beds even smelling a little bit of sheep, which pets usually go wild about.The downsides: not machine washable (although self-cleaning to a great extent), and, if the bed is thoroughly loved or handled roughly, at some point it may show.
Both the cotton knit beds and rattan beds have practical advantages of being machine washable, and being able to handle some tough love very well. While the organic cotton is a bit more expensive, it is, like the rattan beds, practically a bed forever.
