Hi! My name is Gracey, and I am the owner and designer of Burlap and Blossom Patterns! I’ve been creating since I was old enough to hold a crayon and that creativity has taken me on some really amazing adventures! I began Burlap and Blossom Patterns in 2015 when I published my first quilt block patterns to my online shop. Since then, while continuing to publish quilt patterns in my shop and sharing my work on social media, I have had the pleasure of designing quilt patterns for publication in several issues of “Love Patchwork and Quilting” magazine, authoring my quilt book, “Patchwork Picnic”, blogging about my creative adventures, and being a fabric designer for Riley Blake Designs. My quilt block patterns include 6 inch, 12 inch, 18 inch, and 24 inch finished quilt block sizes and are all made using traditional piecing! I love designing everything from dog quilt blocks, to flowers, to Christmas, to Fall, to sports, and animals, and everything in between--all with the goal of helping quilters to stitch their stories! We all have stories to tell and picture quilt blocks can help represent and preserve those memories and moments! Often, the design process for the blocks starts with a sketch and multiple drafts of a quilt block to achieve things like shadows, reflections, expressions, and textures that make the picture quilt blocks come to life! Art and creativity are woven into the fiber of who I am as a fourth generation maker and, as an artist and quilter, I’m excited to be on this creative adventure with you! Wishing you a sunshiney day!
