Hand made, one of a kind woven treats from my house to yours

In 2014 I purchased my first loom with no clue what I was doing. I just knew I wanted to be able to make something as beautiful the woven works I'd started seeing pop up. Trial and error, online research and a class or two have gotten me to where I am in my weaving journey today.

Through weaving, I came to appreciate fibres and textiles more than I ever though I could. I have a special place in my heart for naturally dyed wools and art yarns. There's also a certain joy in using vintage yarns to create new works of art. The majority of my wall hangings are made using a bit of both!

CakeSpun Fibreworks brings together my passions of baking desserts and weaving. Working and managing a chocolate shop for 8 years, and running a food blog prior to finding weaving really cemented my sweet tooth. I can't do anything without adding a bit of sweetness! My woven pieces often draw inspiration from beautiful desserts and baked goods. My dyed wools get their colours from baking pantry ingredients such as berries, produce, sprinkles, and candies.
