The ButterflyLove Amigurumi Bunsen Burner pdf knitting pattern gives you clear step by step instructions and it only involves knitting flat. This pattern is suitable for a beginner/intermediate knitter and the finished burner (if following the advised tension) is about 5.5 inches (14cm) high.

What you will need:
Two knitting needles (US1/2.25mm)
Two knitting needles (US2/2.75mm or as per tension advice)
10-15g grey yarn (e.g. Sirdar Snuggly DK 441 ‘Little Bow’)
Oddment of mohair yarn for the flame (blue or yellow) (e.g. Rowan Kidsilk Haze 609 ‘Atlantic’)
One inch (2.5cm) thick wadding, 4 inches (10cm) square
Two 4 inch (10cm) wide squares of stiff cardboard or thin plastic
Two plastic toy safety eyes (9mm)
One tapestry needle for finishing

Decreasing

Stocking stitch
