Nike and long-term collaborator Tom Sachs are back at it again, coming together under the NIKECRAFT name to create the Transitions collection and promote “transparency of materials and of construction”. As the standout piece of the capsule, this poncho is about as spectacular as it gets. So much so, it wouldn’t look out of place on any lunar voyage. Quickly deployed from a waist pack and secured down each side with simple press studs, it’s made from durable, waterproof Dyneema® fabric and has text scrawled across the hem in true prototypical fashion. To complete the look, and highlight Sachs’ fascination with space, it’s got an American flag on one sleeve, just like the NASA space suits.
