Thank you for visiting my shop! My goal as I work is to create items people will enjoy looking at and using, either as decor or for more practical needs. I try to imbue some humor, add elegance, or touch heartstrings with my work.

The creative journey is my passion and has been all of my life. I have been a professional longarm quilter since 2004, and an avid machine embroiderer since 2000. Beautifully done machine embroidery is a wonder to behold. The detail and the way the light reflects off of the threads is so cool. Pictures only convey part of the story. When you hold it and view it live, it is AWESOME!

There are so many genres to pursue with machine embroidery, and with Katch-Alls, Stockings, Purses, and Plushies I am doing just that. My biggest challenge is finding time to create everything I have envisioned - thus the birth of CRAFT BITZ!

I have a large collection of embroidery designs, so if you have something in mind, I LOVE CUSTOM ORDERS! If I can hoop it, I can embroider it. Maybe you want matching embroidered T-shirts for a family get together. Or maybe you would like a set of Katch-Alls for your wedding party, personalized to each person with their name and built out of some really special fabric. Or, maybe you need an embroidered quilt to gift to someone. The possibilities are endless!

Katch-Alls are fun to look at and use. In the process of creating them, they have become fixtures around my studio, holding threads, bobbins, tools, small items that I want to keep together while waiting for their finish. They are sort of like Tribbles (for you Trekkies out there)!

My longarm quilting experience comes through in the final finish of Katch-Alls and Stockings. Thoroughly stitching the layers together creates a solid item with minimal-to-no unwanted puckering. That final stitching, especially on Katch-Alls, takes extra time but creates another layer of dimension to my items, and that is why my KA's are more expensive than similar items you will find on Etsy. They are worth it! And that is why I call them 'functional art'!
