I like creating meaningful pieces for people to take into their home or give to loved ones. It gives me a great honor to have my work appreciated and shared by others. Truly humbled and grateful.
I look to the natural world for inspiration and in turn like to respect it through my work. All the Douglas Fir I use comes from a sustainably managed community forest on Cortes Island B.C. All other species of wood I use are off cuts and would typically be discarded. Even the MArble I use is left over from the counter top industry.
