Hello! Please note: This is a PDF pattern download bundle, not actual ornaments! This includes patterns only and is not a kit. These patterns are written in English.
This COMPLETE discounted bundle of patterns not only saves you the most per pattern, you also get free bonus materials only included in the complete bundle! This PDF set includes all twelve detailed patterns in my Twelve Days Ornament Series, which is based on the original carol from 1780.
ALSO INCLUDED: a comprehensive materials list for the whole series, the Modern Numbering supplement pattern, and a pretty 3-ring binder cover, spine and back.
You'll notice the 1780 series is numbered a little differently after day eight:*
1 - Partridge & Pear
2 - Turtle Dove
3 - French Hen
4 - Colly Bird
5 - Gold Ring
6 - Goose a-Laying
7 - Swan a-Swimming
8 - Maid a-Milking
9 - Drummer Drumming
10 - Piper Piping
11 - Lady Dancing
12 - Lord a-Leaping
*Use the included Modern Numbering supplement pattern to easily renumber the last four ornaments to match the modern version of the song, if you like!
Sew a beautiful heirloom set of ornaments for your own Christmas tree or for handmade gifting! (The goose, egg and hen also make lovely Easter ornaments, and the heart is nice for Valentines Day!) This set includes 12 detailed sewing patterns and a total of 15 ornament projects (there are bonus ornaments in patterns 1, 6, and 12). The size of the completed ornaments averages around 4x5 inches, with variations due to shape. I’ve always loved the traditional Twelve Days of Christmas song, so I designed this series of hand sewn folk ornaments for each of the twelve days, based on the original carol from 1780. Read more about the series here on my blog: http://mmmcrafts.blogspot.com/p/twelve-days.html
HOW HARD ARE THESE TO MAKE?
If you can do precision cutting, basic hand stitches (running stitch, whipstitch, backstitch and French knot) and are familiar with sewing and embroidery terms, then you can make this project and make it well!
HERE'S WHY:
This pattern utilizes a Sulky brand water-soluble stabilizer which makes putting the ornaments together easy, fast, and accurate. Print or copy my designs directly onto the stabilizer, which is then adhered to the felt, and you embroider right on top of it!
NO TEDIOUS PATTERN TRACING OR EMBROIDERY TRANSFER.
Fantastic! (If you can't use the Sulky stabilizer, I've also included tips for that.)
Each digital PDF pattern includes:
- Neat, professionally drawn, actual-sized pattern pieces that do not overlap
- Step-by-step instructions with clear professionally drawn diagrams and photos
- Resources section at the end with stitching diagrams, tips and supply links
These patterns are in PDF format on 8.5 x 11 inch paper, so you can print them from your regular printer at home on standard paper and printable stabilizer, as many times as you need for personal use.
This pattern PDF bundle will be available for INSTANT DOWNLOAD once your payment is completed!
NOTE: These decorations have small parts and may present a choking hazard. These are not decorations designed for children under the age of three.
COTTAGE INDUSTRY SELLERS: If you are an enterprising home sewer, yes, it is OK to make sewn ornaments from these patterns with your own clever hands and sell them, as long as you adhere to my simple cottage industry policy. Please review: https://mmmcrafts.blogspot.com/p/selling-guide.html
