Behind the needles

When my Grandma Yvonne and my Auntie Bernadette first taught me how to knit in the early 90's, I started to create some endless scarves for my teddy bears and some covers for them to sleep tight. From that moment on I have always been knitting.

The idea to create original knitted models actually started with my little niece Emma (yes, my shop is named after her!). My sister could not find anything pink enough for her so I ended up knitting a scarf using the brightest pink allowed in the Belgian wool market. I almost became blind knitting it but she loved the scarf very very much. The following week Emma came back to me asking for a cat hat… Since then she's been the ultimate judge for any item in the shop.

Little Emma K travelled in my bag during my stay in India and I am now knitting from the Belgian countryside , where i can see sheep from my balcony .
Inspiration comes from anywhere, anything. I always have my needles in my bag, ideas on my mind and that little craziness that makes me carry on until it's a hat, a scarf or anything cute made of wool.

I love to create and share my passion.
I believe that ultimately ...
All we knit is Love !

Miaou, i am Valerie's cat. When i grow up i might be a knitting yarn sales cat. They are everywhere here. I can't really play with them but that's ok. In this business i provide cuddles and advice on cat design. My favourite food is Whiskas Chaton!
