If you choose to expose any of our products to the outdoor elements, please maintain it as you would any other wood product when exposed to these elements.

- Each cut of wood varies. We do not consider wood with knots or more prominent grain to be a defect and each cut WILL vary. We value the character of our wood and we do our best to maintain its natural state.

- We strive to do our best to mirror each finish, but because each cut of wood is unique, some finishes may not be identical to the pictures displayed.

- Our wood is locally sourced and may come to us with imperfections on the back. We do not engrave the backs of our pieces. We will not refund or replace any item for imperfections on the back.

-We are not responsible for errors on your order form. Please review your order carefully before you check out. We start our process immediately and do not accept cancellations/returns.

Please keep in mind, all of our items are listed to be personalized so we do not require a message to customize our signs or ornaments with your family names and dates, etc. Just place this information in the personalization box provided. However, if you would like a design that is completely different from something we have listed, please message us or simply choose the size and sign design that looks closest to what you want your finished product to look like, add it to your cart, and then add our Custom Order Request listing to your cart and check out! Once we receive your order, we will send you a template to approve within 24 hours.

No, our policy has recently changed on this as of November 10th, 2018. We do not send template approvals unless specifically requested or if you have placed a custom order request not pictured on our listing.

We will copy and paste the information provided in the note to seller box so that no spelling errors occur on our end, so please check and recheck personalization information prior to submitting your order.

**Please keep in mind, we do not accept cancellations or returns. Once orders are placed, all orders are final and we cannot change sign sizes or stain colors.**

All products ship within a 1-2 week time frame from your purchase date, except during the holidays where our processing times sometimes are pushed to 1-3 weeks. However, if you need your item sooner, we would be happy to accommodate your request if time allows!

As of September 1st, 2019, we now offer a Skip the Line listing on our page! With the purchase of this listing with your sign or ornament order, this pushes your order to the front of the line to be carved and it will ship out within 3-5 business days.

*Please understand that our standard USPS Priority Mail shipping will still be used for rush orders. We do not offer any expedited shipping options, as Moonlight Mill cannot be held responsible for any shipping delays.*

All of our products ship within 1-2 weeks of your purchase date.

Carved Signs are shipped using USPS Priority Mail which can take 3-5 days to receive depending upon where you are located.

Engraved Ornaments/Baby Announcements are shipped using USPS Priority Mail as well and can also take 3-5 days to receive depending on where you are located.

All orders will receive their tracking numbers via email and Etsy notification when your item has been shipped.

***Please keep track of when your package is scheduled to be delivered. All lost or damaged packages need to be reported by YOU within 24 HOURS of expected delivery otherwise you will not be able to file a claim for a refund. As of 9/1/22, USPS requires BUYERS to file claims.***

As of 9/1/22, USPS has informed us that their process for damaged items has changed. Going forward, our shop will not be able to file a claim for our buyers damaged items.

If your item is damaged upon receipt, please do not contact us. You will need to file a claim directly with USPS at https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm. USPS will require that, once you file your claim, you bring the damaged item in to them for inspection. From there, they will either approve or deny your claim within 5-10 days. If your claim is approved, you will be reimbursed by USPS for the value of your item.

Because we no longer have anything to do with this process, we are unable to provide free replacement items. You will need to place your order with us again.

All orders follow our normal processing times of 1-2 weeks during the holiday months. We can make no guarantees about Christmas deliveries, but we do our best to get as many orders out as possible.

To avoid any confusion during this busy time, although our shops normal policy is that we do not accept cancellations/returns, please understand, especially during this busy time, our shop will not be accepting ANY cancellation requests for ANY reason at all during the holiday rush months of November, December, and January.

In addition, because our company is NOT associated with USPS and cannot be held responsible for delays in delivery. We will not be accommodating any expedited shipping requests to avoid any misunderstandings.

If you forget to add this information, no problem! Please just message us as soon as you place your order with the information to be included on your sign or ornament. If we do not hear from you, we will attempt to contact you for 48 hours to obtain this information. After the 48 hours, if we still do not hear back, signs and ornaments will be carved with the standard design shown on the listing you purchased, without additional personalization.

**No returns or exchanges will be accepted if you did not specify a year, you misspelled anything, or if you accidentally left anything off on your initial order form. It is your repsonsibility to double check your order form for accuracy prior to checking out.**

We like to frequently update our listing photos with new orders from our customers displaying new colors and designs. We do not display every sign order we receive, but there is a chance yours will be chosen. If you DO NOT want your order displayed, please let us know and we will gladly remove a photo that has already been posted or not display your order. Thank you!
