Its a charming old Japanese shop house with modern facilities. Location is residential with a short walk to Sanjo subway. Across the Kamo River is endless shopping and eating places. Its also a short walk to Yasaka Shrine the start point to the busy popular Gion area. Supermarket is nearby. Ms Yuko is a friendly and helpful host. It is a lovely spacious two storey house for a family of 3. We enjoyed our stay!

At Sakura Gion, guests can rent out a traditional Machiya townhouse just a 5-minute walk away from Higashiyama Subway Station. The house features 2 bedrooms, a Japanese-style living room and a kitchen. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property. Western beds are available in the 2 bedrooms located on the 2nd floor. Additional guests can sleep in Japanese futon bedding in the living room, which features tatami (woven-straw) floors and a seating area with low tables. A walk-in closet and a flat-screen TV are available for guests to use. The kitchen features a fridge, a microwave and an electric kettle. A coffee machine is provided, and a launderette is on-site as well. Gion Sakura is a 10-minute walk from Sanjo Train Station and a 15-minute walk from Gion Shijo Train Station. Yasaka Shrine is a 10-minute walk and Heian Shrine is a 15-minute walk away. JR Kyoto Train Station is a 15-minute subway ride away. Luggage storage is available. No meals are served. This is a non-smoking property.
